Serbia and Germany handed Wch wild cards
The International Handball Federation, IHF, has announced that the two wild cards for December’s World Championship in women’s handball will go to Serbia and Germany.
This brings the number of participating nations up to the total of 24 two days ahead of the draw which will take place Wednesday on Koldinghus in yhe historical city of Kolding.
With Germany as wild card receiver the question of placing four countries in each of the four groups is also solved as Denmark will be playing in Herning, Sweden in Naestved, Norway in Frederikshavn and Germany in Kolding.
The 24 nations who will be playing in Denmark from December 5th-20th are:
Europe: Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Russia, Poland, France, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Montenegro, Serbia, Germany and The Netherlands.
Pan-America: Brazil, Cuba, Argentina and Puerto Rico
Africa: Tunisia, The Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola
Asia: South Korea, China, Japan and Kazakhstan
