This is at stake in Group C and D
With only one match left of the group phase in both Kolding and Frederikshavn things are beginning to find their shape in relation to the up and coming round of last 16.
We have had a look at what the consequences are before the final round on Friday:
France – 4 matches 7 points (+ 31 goal difference)– will meet Brazil: A draw will secure first place for the French who have a goal difference three goals better than their opponents.
Brazil – 4 matches 7 points (+ 22 goal difference) – will meet France: Will have to win versus France to obtain first place.
Germany – 4 matches 4 points – will meet D.R. Congo: As Germany has beaten both Korea and Aregentina the only comined results that can prevent a German third place is a draw or defeat versus D.R. Congo with Korea winning against Argentina. A result the Germans will know whenn their match begins.
Korea – 4 matches 4 points – will meet Argentina: A draw is enough for Korea to secure a place among the last 16 and theoretically they can also obtain third place. But should the Koreans lose they will enter the President’s Cup.
Argentina – 4 matches 2 points – will meet Korea: A Victory will see the South Americans through to the round of 16. A draw or defeat means President’s Cup.
D.R. Congo – 4 matches 0 point – will meet Germany: No matter how the result turns out the Africans willbe number six in Group C.
Russia – 4 matches 8 points – will meet Romania: Regardless the result Russia will be at the top of Group D.
Spain - 4 matches 6 points (+53 goal difference) – will meet Norway: Head to head challenge versus Norway for second place. The Spaniards only need a draw to obtain that goal.
Norway – 4 matches 6 points (+ 50 goal difference) – will meet Spain: Head to head challenge versus Spain for second place. The Norwegians need a victory to obtain that goal.
Romania – 4 matches 4 points – will meet Russia: Will end up as number four no matter what as the Romanians have lost matches to both Norway and Spain.
Kazakhstan – 4 matches 0 points (-81 goal difference)– will meet Puerto Rico: Head to head with Puerto Rico. Kazakhstan can make do with a draw as their goal difference is 31 goals better than that of the Puerto Ricans
Puerto Rico – 4 matches 0 points (-112 goal difference) – will meet Kazakhstan: Will have to win the encounter to avoid last place in the group phase.
