The Neterlands are World Championship finalists for the first time in history after a comfortable win in the semifinal against Poland, 30-25 (15-8).
Netherland's keeper, Tess Wester, did not make it easy for the Polish shooters who repeatedly missed their chances. Tess Wester played a big role in the Netherlands' comfortable lead at the halftime break where they already had one and a half legs in the final. Poland only scored eight goals in the first half, four of which were scored by Kulwinska, and they could go to the lockers seven goals behind Netherlands.
In the middle of the second half, the match got a bit exciting as the Poles used Dutch lack of luck and managed to reduce the lead to only four goals. But the match never got closetr, and the Netherlands won the semifinal with five goals.
Player of the match was the Netherlands' number 17, Nycke Groot.
The Netherlands are now in the World Championship final, while Poland is ready for the bronze medal match. Both are played on Sunday, 20th December.
