Handball art auction off to a fine start
For the last couple of days it has been possible to place a bid for nine ”bodypaint” pictures of Danish international players on the web-auction site lauritz.com.
And bids for the nine spectacular items have come off to a very fine start closing in on the 10.000 kroner (1500 Euro) mark already now.
The story behind the pictures is that five Danish national team players were body painted for the Championship campaign by the Bahamian body painter and photographer Monty Knowles - each player being painted with paint brushes for ten hours.
Now the exceptionel works of art are exhibited at the HEART Museum in Herning where they will be on display for the whole championship.
The auction runs until December 18th at 1 p.m. and the profits go to charity: The Danish Christmas Seal Foundation and the Bahamas Down Syndrome Association.Have a look at the beautiful pictures and place your bid here
