Amorim and Karabatic honoured at Wch final
At half time in the final of the World Championship final the IHF and Santander Consumer Bank presented the World Handballers of 2014 in both men’s and women’s handball.
29 year old Eduarda Amorim was awarded the women’s title and recieved the cheque of 10.000 Euro from IHF President, Dr. Hassan Moustafa, and Bo Jakobsen, CEO of Santander Consumer Bank.
Amorim who has been playing with Hungarian top team Györi ETO since 2009 was a major reason for her club winning the EHF Champions League in 2013-14 and indeed for her country winning a surprising World Championship in december 2013.
Karabatic who was awarded similarily won the European Championship with his country in January 2014 and the world championship a year later. And in 2015 he won the EHF Champions League with Spanish powerhouse FC Barcelona before moving on to PSG Handball Paris.
